On November 15, 2024, Friends of Yamasaki partnered with Tyler Sprague, University of Washington Associate Professor of Architecture and Engineering, to nominate Minoru Yamasaki for the UW College of Built Environments Roll of Honor. Open to new nominees only once every ten years, this distinctive honorific is celebrated with a written inscription of the honoree’s name on the “frieze” of distinguished architects, urban planners, and landscape architects that graces the crown molding around the ceiling of the auditorium in Architecture Hall on the UW campus. Winners of the 2024 Honor Roll distinction have not yet been announced.
