On May 3, 1995, George P. Moynihan, Exec Director of the Pacific Science Center from 1980 – 2003, published an article in the Seattle Times titled “Fifteen Glorious Years Under the Arches.” Under Moynihan’s tenure the institution successfully stimulated children’s interest in science through their traveling Science on Wheels van program, expanded their membership base, and mounted several internationally traveling exhibits, including CHINA, WHALES, and MAZES, among others.
