Brooks Kolb, ASLA, co-chair, Friends of Yamasaki, is the owner-principal of Brooks Kolb LLC Landscape Architecture. Educated at the American College in Paris, University College, London, and the University of Pennsylvania, he serves as vice president of the Seattle Allied Arts Foundation and as a board member of Allied Arts of Seattle. A founding member of Seattle’s Volunteer Park Trust, he served on the Columbia City (Seattle) Historic District Design Review Committee and is a past president of the Friends of Seattle’s Olmsted Parks, the Washington Chapter, ASLA (WASLA), and the Northern California Chapter, ASLA. Brooks enjoyed seeing Yamasaki’s Pacific Science Center for the first time when he attended the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair at the age of nine.

Donald Andrew Kunz, BA, co-chair, Friends of Yamasaki, retired after a nearly 40-year career at the University of Washington School of Medicine as a budget analyst/manager. Educated at the University of Washington School of Business, he was appointed by prior Seattle mayors Norm Rice and Paul Schell, and City Council to serve on the East Seattle Design Review Board member for five years. He also served three years on the Steering Committee for Groundswell Off Broadway which helped plan and design Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill, Seattle and served as chair of Capitol Hill Community Council’s Building Design and Review Committee for three years. He currently serves on the Uptown Alliance Land Use Review Committee, Seattle. At the age of twelve, he was captivated with Yamasaki’s Pacific Science Center’s pools and courtyard when his family visited the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair.

Dana Guppy is owner-principal of First Mile Services LLC, an IT Services firm in Seattle, Washington. Now semi-retired, he continues to design online solutions for businesses and organizations with a mission. Educated at Goddard College, Huxley College of Environmental Studies, and Washington University at St. Louis, he was CTO of the International Wilderness Leadership Foundation for 20 years. His first web project was The Cheetah Conservation Fund in 1996. First Mile Services LLC
